Summer is finally coming. One of the best things to do is to enjoy the summer atmosphere with a good cocktail. To make the most of the nice weather, here are our five tips for the best roof-top bars in Vienna.
Sky Bar
The first pick on our list is Sky Bar. It’s located right on top of the shopping center Steffl, and the view of Stephansdom are just incredible. It definitely makes for an enjoyable afternoon on their cozy terrace and you can enjoy nice drinks and good snacks.
The best thing: Given the location, the prices are actually quite ok. It’s not cheap, but the price of around 5€ for a glass of wine is actually not too bad. We think Sky Bar definitely makes for a cool location for after-work drinks.
Atmosphere at Ritz
Atmosphere roof-top bar on top of Ritz Carlton is a very nice spot as well. The views are not as nice as some of the other picks on our list, but the super chill atmosphere makes for a great afternoon.
The cocktails are not very cheap, but taste really nice and are definitely worth trying out. They have some good snacks as well so they serve all you need to enjoy your time!
25 hours
The bar at 25 hours is located right in the city center and has really nice views of the parliament and the adjacent buildings. It’s super chill and the food and drinks are really good and not to expensive.
The only downside is that you can’t reserve a table and sometimes it gets quite busy. The seats are allocated on a first come, first serve basis, so if you’re there early, you should still get a spot.
Aurora
Aurora is probably the least well known bar on our list, but it definitely deserves a visit. The view is amazing and you can see everything from Belvedere to Prater and get a really nice overview of the city.
The atmosphere is super chill and if you’re looking for a nice bar for after-work drinks, this is a good pick for you.
Level 57
Level 57 is probably our favorite pick on the list and definitely the best option for a special occasion. Speaking of roof-top bar, this location takes it to the next level, quite literally. Level 57 is located right on top of DC Tower, the highest building in Vienna. Just imagine the absolutely stunning panoramic views of the whole city.
The design is super modern and really cool, they have a wide selection of drinks and are always happy to accommodate special requests as well. Even the ride up to the bar is an experience in itself – the elevator barely takes a minute to get up and you can feel how fast it moves.
Level 57 is definitely with exploring, even if the prices are quite high – so make sure to check it out, but maybe wait for a special occasion to make the most out of your stay!
