Best Activities for the Easter Break

Easter is around the corners and so is the Easter break. It’s really nice to have a break from studying and have some time for other things. If you’re lacking the ideas for what you could do with all that free time, here are our tops tips for the Easter break

Schokoladenmuseum

I mean if there is one time every year where eating way too much chocolate is ok, then it’s Easter. You’re probably getting way too many sweets anyway, but if you just can’t get enough, then Schokoladenmuseum might be perfect for you.

In the 23rd district, Heindl has there Schokoladenmusem where you can try different stages of the chocolate production and get a glimpse of how chocolate is made (trust us, the initial stages don’t taste all that nice). You can of course combine trying the different types of chocolate with buying some of the last Easter presents. It’s a win-win situation and you can treat yourself and others at the same time.

Easter Egg Hunt

It might sound a bit childish but can be so much fun: Organizing an Easter Egg Hunt with your friends! Just pick someone‘s flat or a not too popular area in Vienna (like part of Prater or so) and hide some sweets or little presents.

To make it a bit more challenging, you could include some fun riddles that give hints as to where you can find some of the hidden presents. If you do that with a couple of friends, everyone will have some nice presents at the end.

Kahlenberg Hike

Depending on the weather, you can also use the Easter break for some outdoor activities. Obviously there are loads of possibilities around Vienna – but one of out favourites is Kahlenberg.

You can easily get there by tram and it’s not too difficult to get up. But once you‘re there, it’s an amazing view so it’s definitely worth the effort. Of course you can also combine it with some nice food at the top, or even when you’re back down.
