A bar right on Donauinsel with really cool atmosphere. The best thing: On weekends they also have a DJ there so you even have the possibility to dance if you’re in the mood for it. There is no entry fee, the drinks are slightly expensive but if you could go for pres on Donauinsel and then enjoy the party at Sansibar. - Vienna City Beach Club:
Another cool outdoor club/party place. The beach atmosphere is perfect if you are looking for some holiday vibes and you can definitely enjoy a fun party there. - Gnadenlos
This is not actually a club, but rather a bar which means the entry is free (who doesn’t love that?). However, the whole downstairs area is a massive dance floor which means it pretty much feels like a club. You can find great party hits here, some good old classical and a few modern songs. The average age tends to be a bit higher, but hey, it’s free. And, one of the biggest benefits, you can get in even if you’re only 16 years old. - Donauinsel:
Who doesn’t love a good outdoor party, especially in the summer? Donauinsel is THE party hotspot in Vienna in the summer and if you want to be part of the Viennese party scene, you definitely need to join in for some Donauinsel parties. Just bring a few blankets, speakers and drinks and ask your friends to bring stuff as well. We would pick a spot close to the U1 station “Donauinsel” – it’s easy to get there, there are loads of nice spots and you don’t have to walk too far. Perfect for a chill summer night. - Prater:
Another top pick for outdoor parties is Prater. It’s slightly easier to get to than Donauinsel and you definitely have more city vibes. On the other hand there are also more people and you’re not alone like on Donauinsel. Do with that what you want and make you’re decision where to go based on whether you prefer some quiet time or want more people around. - Himmel und Wasser:
A really cool summer location is Himmel und Wasser. It’s a bit far to get to, but once you are there it is soooo worth it. The vibe is similar to Vienna City Beach Club and Sansibar since it’s also directly at the Danube. But it’s further away from the city center with more nature around so it feels even more like your own private party. - Badeschiff:
A big party on a ship is just your thing? Pool included? Then Badeschiff is perfect for you! It’s right on Donaukanal so it’s super easy to get to. The vibe is really cool and you can definitely enjoy a fun summer party there. Personally, we are a bit skeptic about the pool and not sure we would want to take a swim there (haha). But hey, it’s cool that they have it and makes you feel like on a fancy pool party. - Strandbar Herrmann:
Strandbar Herrmann is right on Donaukanal as well and as the name suggest is a great bar with beach vibes. However, in the summer they also turn into a great party location and host Silent Disco nights every now and then. If you’ve never been to a Silent Disco, this is your opportunity to go. And if you have, then you know how much fun it is! So what are you waiting for? - Why Not:
If you haven’t been to Why Not then you’ve definitely not fully experienced the Viennese party scene. It’s the most famous gay club in Vienna and as everyone knows: Gay people definitely know how to party XD. Three floors packed with good vibes and great music. If you’re looking for a fun night out, this is your place to go. - Inc:
Our list wouldn’t be complete without a “proper” club that you can go to all year round. Of course there are loads of options in Vienna and it’s really hard to choose a single one. One that we really like is Inc. It’s on Schwarzenbergplatz so it’s easy to get to and it places a lot of hip-hop music.
